Job Description**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide technical expertise associated with cables and overhead lines up to 66 kV.
- Contribute to asset management strategies and philosophies.
- Provide expert input to line performance and technical specifications.
- Contribute to the development of equipment standards.
- Contribute to maintenance policy and practices.
- Initiate projects (develop concepts, prepare business cases and project handover documentation).
- Support the implementation of asset management and asset replacement initiatives.
- Support Network Operations to achieve annual capital and operational works plans.
- Assess and review the condition of installed cables and distribution line assets.
- Review and audit asset-related databases.
- Investigate and analyze cable and distribution line equipment failures or problems, drafting reports, etc.
- Make technical decisions in relation to cables and distribution lines.
- Approve relevant technical documentation.
- Participate in regulator and internal audits as required.
- Provide support for emergency response events, as required.
**Measures of Success:**
- 100% Delivery of capex and opex works programs approvals for cables and distribution lines from year to year.
- All cable and distribution lines documentation kept current from year to year.
- Incident and failure investigations are completed within required timeframes to the required quality.
- Audit and investigations actions are completed within the required timeframes.
- Technical and operational support provided in required timeframes.

- Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (RIFR) targets.
- Mission Zero conversation targets.
- Customer service and SLA targets.
- Adherence to corporate values.

- Relevant training or qualification in Engineering.

- Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks, and relevant standards.

- Understanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practice.
- Ability to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigations.
- Ability to connect with organisational strategy and identify what is required at a tactical level to achieve it.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans, preferably in a regulated environment.
- In-depth knowledge of distribution system components, equipment, and technologies, with a focus on cables and distribution lines and emerging trends and innovations.
- Knowledge of relevant software packages used for analysis and design of distribution lines and structures e.g., PLS-CAD suite.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimise asset performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- An advanced level of reasoning skills and engineering judgement.
