Job Title: Senior Business Services Accountant

About the Role:
Lead Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our Business Services and Advisory team in Melbourne. As a Senior Business Services Accountant, you will work alongside experienced professionals and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting, and professional services skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT or payroll tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Utilize a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Provide tax planning and business advisory services to clients, analyzing financial and non-financial information to assist clients in monitoring performance.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and promote quality product delivery.
  • Recognize potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promote the firm and its services.
  • Participate in team training and mentoring, helping to grow the team's knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in Business Services with strong technical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar, with working towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Expertise using accounting software including APS, MYOB, and cloud-based tools.
  • Australian Citizenship, work rights, or Permanent Residency status.
