Legal Advisor

A global engineering and infrastructure advisory company is seeking a Legal Advisor to join its Technology Law team in Brisbane, AU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on technology and digital projects, including procurement, licensing, data use, collaboration, and consulting arrangements.
  • Support the development and implementation of governance frameworks, risk assessments, and policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Digital, IT/IS, Risk, and Commercial functions.
  • Advise on emerging issues such as AI, digital innovation, and new technologies.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years PQE, with experience in technology, IP, privacy, data, and/or government contracting.
  • Commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Senior Counsel candidates should demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously on complex matters.
