The Role

As an OSHC Educator, you will work on site at our Bayview OSHC, joining a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and their families.

  • Support the team in developing age-appropriate, fun, and engaging activities for children in the OSHC program.
  • Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for the OSHC program.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
About You

Along with experience as an Educator, we're looking for someone who is passionate about their work. Your positive attitude and more than x years' experience will allow you to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment that is fun, safe, and nurturing for children.

You will also have:

  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Patience and empathy when working with children.
  • Knowledge of child development principles.
Qualifications

We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications or studying towards:

  • Any 1-year Full time Equivalent in studying Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama or Music qualification.
  • Early childhood education or studying towards or does have childcare experience in another country working with children.
  • One year in studying toward Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional therapy or Speech pathology qualifications.
  • Completed 1-year full time studying towards Primary, Secondary or Special Education qualification.
  • Completed 1-year full time studying towards Sport and recreational qualification.
  • Completed Cert 3, Diploma in Early childhood or studying towards.
  • Current Blue Card.
  • First Aid or willing to attain one.
  • Previous experience working with diverse communities is an asset.
