
Director of Education and Innovation

We are seeking a highly skilled Program and Practice Leader to shape the future of early education with us.
This key role involves working closely with Centre Directors, Educational Leaders, and Early Childhood Teachers to elevate the quality of our educational programs.
You will guide pedagogy, mentor educators, and embed inclusive, innovative, and evidence-based practices that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and our organisational philosophy.
Collaborate strategically across the organisation to drive change and promote best practice in centres.
As a Program and Practice Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Mentor and support Educators, ECTs, and Educational Leaders to build capacity and confidence in curriculum delivery.
- Provide expert guidance on educational program development, inclusive practices, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the implementation of projects such as school readiness, inclusion strategies, and community engagement.
- Work collaboratively with Operations and Quality teams to achieve successful Assessment and Rating outcomes.
- Review centre Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) and facilitate ongoing reflection and improvement.
- Lead and contribute to networking meetings, staff training, and professional development initiatives.
- Support services with compliance in line with National Regulations, frameworks, and Edge policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- SIGNIFICANT experience in a leadership role such as Educational Leader or similar.
- A deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (2022), and state-specific frameworks such as the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (2024).
- Strong interpersonal skills, mentoring and coaching abilities, and confidence in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Current Working with Children Check (or state equivalent)
- Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel between centres.
