Position Overview

As a Regional Clinical Director at Greencross Vets, you will be instrumental in sustaining and enhancing the quality of veterinary services across multiple clinics in the Sydney area. Your role will also involve engaging in clinical practice within your facilities to mentor and develop the veterinarians at each location. You will lead a talented team of veterinarians and support staff, fostering a collaborative culture through team-oriented consulting and high clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical days to collaborate with various teams, allowing you to build rapport and understand how to assist each individual team.
  • Oversee and guide veterinarians and clinic teams within your designated area.
  • Ensure the provision of exceptional veterinary care, upholding high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Facilitate regular training and development initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge within the teams.
  • Implement strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes, client satisfaction, and overall clinic performance.
  • Ensure team safety by reviewing compliance with safety protocols and adherence to Veterinary Surgeons Board Guidelines and Legislation.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Area Managers, Chief Veterinary Officer, and other Regional Clinical Directors to promote high standards of care and best practices.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of veterinarians and staff within your area.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and technology.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Veterinary Medicine and registration to practice in New South Wales.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a veterinary environment, with a proven track record of effective team management.
  • Advanced skills and memberships, particularly in small animal surgery, with the capability to perform orthopedic procedures, would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding veterinary care and driving continuous improvement.
  • An innovative mindset with the ability to adapt to the evolving veterinary landscape.
  • A willingness to travel between clinics and assist other regions as needed.
