This full-time, fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $114,104 to $128,197 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.

Job Description

This role supports the development of excellence in curriculum, assessment, and teaching at ECU by working collaboratively with staff in Schools and professional service centres. You will demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in applying effective curriculum and learning design principles and strategies for consistent quality in a higher education setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTING ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF TO ENHANCE THE STUDENT LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND ENSURE STUDENT SUCCESS
  • CONTRIBUTING TO CURRICULUM TRANSFORMATION AT SCALE BY PROVIDING LEADERSHIP AND EXPERT ADVICE TO INDIVIDUALS, COURSE TEACHING TEAMS, AND SCHOOLS
Required Skills and Qualifications

Suitable candidates will meet the following key criteria:

  • Masters degree or higher qualification in relevant field (e.g., Learning Sciences, Education, Instructional Design) or demonstrated equivalence;
  • Ability to apply learning design principles and evidence-based approaches to improve learning outcomes and support active and engaged learning in unit and course design;
  • Experience supporting a team of academic staff to transform their curriculum and practice with high-quality, engaging, and innovative approaches appropriate for online and face-to-face teaching;
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and supporting staff to use emerging technologies; new pedagogical approaches; and sound assessment practices to enhance the teaching and learning experience;
  • Strong communication skills, especially interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and organisational staff and management at all levels.
