Maritime Structural Engineer Job

We are seeking a skilled Maritime Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our National Maritime Team, you will play a vital role in the design and planning activities for large-scale multi-discipline maritime facilities across various industries.

Your expertise will be utilized to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support. Additionally, you will have opportunities to grow your leadership and business development skills as you assist with project management and proposal tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess between 2 and 5 years of experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel, and an interest or experience in designing, evaluating, and reporting on ports, harbors, coastal works, and marine structures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Structural design experience, including reinforced concrete and steel.
  • Interest or experience in designing, evaluating, and reporting on ports, harbors, coastal works, and marine structures.
  • Capability and experience using structural analysis software such as SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatiCA.
  • Interest or experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector.
  • Interest in learning maritime analysis software such as OPTIMOOR.
  • Familiarity with structural Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer credentials.
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
