About Our Client:

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading electrical solutions provider to find an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their Switchgear, Switchboard, and Switch Rooms Manufacturing division.

The Role:

As the Engineering Manager, you will report directly to the State Manager, taking the lead on strategic initiatives to enhance and develop products and streamline engineering processes. You will be responsible for aligning projects with company goals while ensuring engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the engineering department to design innovative new products and improve existing ones.
  • Drive production efficiency by analysing market trends and technology advancements.
  • Collaborate closely with executive management, operations, and production teams.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ensure your team stays ahead of switchboard engineering developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, while negotiating effectively to achieve successful outcomes.

About You:

  • Electrical or Fitter/Mechanic Qualification required.
  • Diploma of Engineering is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in switchboard manufacturing, engineering, and project management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating teams, delivering high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant systems and technologies.
  • Financial acumen, with a solid understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strategic mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
