Electrical Engineering Project Lead

As a key member of the CPC Engineering team, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Lead to guide complex electrical engineering projects and drive innovation in the field while ensuring adherence to quality standards and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical engineering deliverables including package engineering, calculations, and plant design
  • Provide project review of electrical deliverables
  • Coordinate designs and drafts people
  • Review progress and schedule
  • Ability to create, improve, and monitor work practices relating to Electrical/Instrument Engineering methods
  • Review/create standards for business
  • Adhere to all CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures, and quality management requirements

Requirements:

  • Industry-related higher education degree
  • Significant (> 25 years) minerals process plant design experience
  • Knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations
  • Engineering delivery experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment, allocate work to others, and monitor progress

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • High-level communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment
  • Ability to produce study estimates
  • Ability to manage studies and small site projects, including variation management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow-up
  • Knowledge of databases and version control
  • Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Extensive industry contacts and ability to win the confidence of clients through business development
