Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Technical Lead

CPC Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to lead our technical team and drive innovation in electrical engineering projects.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in minerals process plant design. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical engineering deliverables, including package engineering, calculations, and plant design
  • Provide project review of electrical deliverables
  • Coordinate designs and drafts people
  • Review progress and schedule
  • Create, improve, and monitor work practices relating to Electrical/Instrument Engineering methods
  • Review/create standards for business
  • Ensure adherence to CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures, and quality management requirements

Requirements:

  • Industry-related higher education degree
  • Significant (> 25 years) minerals process plant design experience
  • Knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations
  • Engineering delivery experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment, allocate work to others, and monitor progress

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • High-level communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment
  • Ability to produce study estimates
  • Ability to manage studies and small site projects, including variation management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow-up
  • Knowledge of databases and version control
  • Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Extensive industry contacts and ability to win the confidence of clients through business development

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated at $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, superannuation, and professional development opportunities.
