Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in minerals process plant design. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical engineering deliverables, including package engineering, calculations, and plant design
- Provide project review of electrical deliverables
- Coordinate designs and drafts people
- Review progress and schedule
- Create, improve, and monitor work practices relating to Electrical/Instrument Engineering methods
- Review/create standards for business
- Ensure adherence to CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures, and quality management requirements
Requirements:
- Industry-related higher education degree
- Significant (> 25 years) minerals process plant design experience
- Knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations
- Engineering delivery experience
- Ability to work in a team environment, allocate work to others, and monitor progress
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- High-level communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment
- Ability to produce study estimates
- Ability to manage studies and small site projects, including variation management
- Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow-up
- Knowledge of databases and version control
- Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Extensive industry contacts and ability to win the confidence of clients through business development
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated at $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, superannuation, and professional development opportunities.
