Bar Manager/Bartender Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager/Bartender to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading our team to success.

About this role:

  • Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure the Pub runs efficiently.
  • Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Assist management to ensure that the team has the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs.
  • Maintain bar supplies and the maintenance of the bar equipment.
  • Work with the Venue Manager to create effective schedules to ensure that the bar is adequately staffed at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of bartenders and support staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Manage inventory, maintain stock levels, and control costs.
  • Implement and maintain excellent health, safety, and hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with the venue manager to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Hold Responsible Service of Alcohol certification from a nationally accredited training provider.
  • Hold a valid Approved Managers Card.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role in a bar or food and beverage outlet.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
