Job Description

About the Role:

  • Manage end-to-end change delivery across the Global Financial Markets business unit.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Represent the 1LoD on change projects to ensure risks are identified and addressed while meeting business objectives.
  • Document and assess control designs to capture regulatory changes, ensuring processes are sufficient for seamless delivery into Business As Usual (BAU).
  • Implement monitoring controls and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to provide ongoing oversight of operating effectiveness.
  • Provide input to issue prioritization and remediation, undertaking incident management and risk reporting when required.
  • Establish a risk-aware culture within Projects, collaborating with 1LoD and 2LoD to incorporate compliance obligations into business unit compliance plans.
  • Ensure Projects meet minimum requirements for managing operational risk, including completion of the Risk Control Matrix.

Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Risk & Controls in Institutional Banking / Financial Markets.
  • Capability to assess operational risks and design/test adequate controls as a 1LoD function.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice/recommendation on control designs.
  • Ability to verbalize complex operational risk language to business leaders.
  • Pragmatic and self-motivated Risk Leader who's willing to get their hands dirty.
