Commercial Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team in Brisbane. This senior role reports directly to the CEO and is ideal for individuals who enjoy a mix of strategy, client engagement, and hands-on business development.

You will be responsible for securing new opportunities, managing existing relationships, and driving business growth in the right direction. As a key member of the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to influence strategy at the top level while still being close enough to the detail to make a real impact.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and trust-building skills.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities through proactive market research and networking.
  • Leading the preparation of tenders, proposals, and business cases to support commercial and marketing strategies.
  • Developing and implementing commercial and marketing strategies to drive business growth and competitiveness.
  • Monitoring performance and market trends to ensure the business remains competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Providing commercial insights and advice directly to leadership to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a commercial, business development, or sales role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • A quick thinker who adapts well to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and business tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt new technologies.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, or resources, with potential for training and development.
  • Familiarity with tendering processes, contracts, or CRM systems, with a desire to continue learning and growing.
