Medical Rehabilitation Specialist Opportunity

Our Department of Rehabilitation at Peninsula Health is a well-established and growing unit focused on providing comprehensive care to patients with diverse needs.
We offer accredited training positions for medical professionals in rehabilitation medicine, led by the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM). These opportunities are based at our Golf Links Road site and Rosebud Hospital, offering a range of services and experiences.
All registrars participate in a schedule that includes 1-2 on-call shifts per week. We prioritize continued learning and skill development, ensuring protected training time and encouraging attendance at conferences and workshops. Our team participates in a fortnightly Journal Club, weekly grand rounds, monthly clinical meetings, and training sessions. There is also an opportunity to teach medical students, perform audits, and undertake research.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A MBBS degree or equivalent
- Eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
- A minimum of 2 years postgraduate training
- Membership or eligibility to join the AFRM training program
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in contemporary medical practice
- The ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
