Job Title: Medical Rehabilitation Specialist

The role of Medical Rehabilitation Specialist is a key position within our multidisciplinary team. We are seeking an experienced professional to cover a fixed-term leave, providing medical leadership in managing the late effects of polio.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work within a flexible and interdisciplinary structure to ensure clients receive appropriate treatment. This includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team through clinic appointments and case conferences to develop management strategies.

We deliver multi-disciplinary regional clinics six times per year, with a preference for attendance at one overnight regional clinic in October. Flexible arrangements, such as telehealth, can be negotiated.

Requirements:

  • Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine or equivalent
  • Specialist registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia / AHPRA
  • Participation in an approved CME program
  • Experience with management of people with a history of polio is preferred

Working Arrangements:

This part-time, fixed-term position involves up to 12 hours per fortnight, with Wednesday afternoons and full days on Thursdays on alternating weeks. Salary classifications range from HN16 to HN56 ($160.20 - $208.45 per hour), depending on experience.
