Job Title: Community Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Settlement Services Division, you will be responsible for managing case plans with clients, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing and reviewing case plans.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, advanced casework/case management skills, and the ability to work with people in stressful situations. They will also have high-level problem-solving abilities, the capacity to work autonomously, and experience in providing culturally appropriate and sensitive services to people of CALD background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop and review case plans
  • Provide high-quality case management support to clients
  • Adhere to contractual requirements and meet deadlines
  • Develop and maintain professional links with other relevant services and agencies
  • Provide support, guidance, and supervision to bi-lingual bicultural staff and volunteers
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, social or behavioural sciences, or demonstrated experience in casework services
  • Advanced casework/case management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High-level problem-solving abilities and capacity to work autonomously
