Electrical and Mechanical Trades Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance activities, diagnosing problems, and making repairs on manufacturing and packaging equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical trades, with experience working with automation controls, PLCs, and VSD systems. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as basic mechanical aptitude and machine knowledge.

Schedule: Mon-Thru 8:00pm - 6:15am

Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. They should also be able to interpret technical manuals and instructional documents, perform mathematical calculations, and adhere to planned work tasks and schedules.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including shift differential and overtime opportunities. A sign-on bonus is also available for the right candidate.

About the Job:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00pm - 6:15am

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years specialized training (or equivalent experience) in electrical, electronic, or mechanical trade preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years' experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical trade (or related experience such as auto mechanics, machinist)
  • Licenses/Certifications: None required

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong background in electrical and mechanical trades, with experience working with automation controls, PLCs, and VSD systems
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interpret technical manuals and instructional documents
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose problems and make repairs on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
