Overview
Location: 275 CLARENCE STREET Brampton, ON L6W 3R3
Responsibilities
Read blueprints to determine work requirements
Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment
Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components
Wind, assemble and install various types of coils
Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors
Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts
Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Qualifications
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
On-site work at a physical location; on-site requirement
Ability to distinguish colours; attention to detail
Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, Dependability, Organized
Work conditions
Handling heavy loads
Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely

Location: 275 CLARENCE STREET, Brampton, ON L6W 3R3
Work location: On site
Salary: $36.00 per hour, 42.5 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Starts as soon as possible
