Accounts Payable Specialist

PHE is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Gympie on a permanent basis.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting project-based finance operations by processing accounts payable, managing travel expenses, and allocating costs accurately within MYOB for effective job tracking and reporting.

  • Process all creditor invoices related to jobs and general ledger purchases (on account).
  • Ensure timely entry and coding of invoices for all divisions.
  • Allocate expenses accurately to relevant jobs/servers in MYOB for project costing.
  • Reconcile and process travel expenses, including flights and accommodation.
  • Liaise with project managers and internal teams to verify invoice allocations and approvals.
  • Assist with end-of-month reporting and cost tracking as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or finance administration, ideally in mining, construction, or project services.
  • Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cost centres or jobs.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced finance team.
