**Coordinator Records and Information Management**

**What we are looking for**:
Gympie Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified applicant. As a Coordinator Records and Information Management, you will oversee the efficient, effective capture and management of all Council records and manage the Information Officers in your team. Your Branch will oversee information management in Council’s digital information systems, physical archives and records management to ensure Councils systems are complaint with Councils records management policies and procedures.

Leveraging a synergy of technical and governance expertise, you provide information systems support and expertise (ECM and SharePoint) and will communicate and implement Information Classification and Records Management Plans, overseeing its execution and operation by your team of Information Officers.

**Essential Knowledge & Skills**:

- Diploma in Records Management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years' experience in working with a records and information management team, EDRMS implementation projects and as an EDRMS Administrator. Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret relevant legislation and government policies.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and supervising a team of staff working in a high volume, customer focused environment.
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.

**Essential Requirements**:

- To lead, mentor and develop the team of Information Officers and Project resources.
- To ensure ongoing sentencing and disposal of records in line with Council’s policies and procedures and approved retention and disposal schedules as advised by Queensland State Archives.
- Working with internal stakeholders and external experts, develop Information Classification guidelines and Information Management governance policies and procedures that provide a strong foundation for systematically and effectively managing records and information and ensure governance is aligned with broader agency frameworks and incorporated in business strategies and objectives.
- To provide ongoing expertise and advice to the Manager Governance, Integrity and Risk and relevant stakeholders of changes to the governing Acts and regulations, and on new emerging developments and trends in record management technologies and practices that may have an impact on their activities.
- Contribute to the implementation of electronic document and records management systems planned for Council, including TechnologyOnes’ ECM Ci Anywhere, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
- Responsible for overseeing systems administration and user training in Councils new EDRMS, ECM Ci Anywhere, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
- Own and govern the provision of SharePoint information/document and content libraries, SharePoint Teams and audit user compliance.
- Take a lead role on several projects including the migration of information and records and the digitisation of records.
- Work with the Security Engineer to ensure digital information is secure by design and access auditing capabilities are in place.
