About the Role

The Tasmanian Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Launceston General Hospital. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting best practice principles and evidence-based care.
  • Assist the Nurse Unit Manager with the planning and management of staff and resources, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Coordinate day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow and bed management.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote staff wellbeing, recognition, and career growth.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Proven experience in clinical leadership and management, with a strong focus on patient care and staff development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
