Job Summary
Calvary Care is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our High Dependency Unit team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate patient care to patients requiring high dependency and cardiology intervention.
About the Role
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be part of a small High Dependency Unit team, but also have the benefits of being part of the wider surgical ward team. You will be caring for various types of patients, including those who have undergone cardiac intervention, colorectal, urology, and bariatric surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing clinical education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
- AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate.
- Demonstrated critical care experience.
- Postgraduate certificate in Critical Care/Cardiology Nursing highly regarded.
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently, and in an organized manner during periods of high demand and activity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills.
