Job Title

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team within a large-scale project.

The LBTS Combat System (CS) Senior Electrical Engineer, as part of the Combat Systems Integrated Product Team (CSIPT), will collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop LBTS solutions for the Hunter Class Frigate Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain terrestrial electrical distribution systems for powering LBTS combat systems.
  • Manage parts lists to facilitate procurement activities.
  • Deliver designs that meet Australian Standards and adhere to workplace safety policies.
  • Oversee the installation of electrical systems by approved contractors.
  • Create earthing systems for combat system equipment.
  • Generate documentation for installation by contractors.
  • Provide technical oversight in developing lightning protection systems.
  • Evaluate vendor solutions, specifications, and data related to LBTS systems.
  • Collaborate with specialty engineering teams to ensure compliance of LBTS systems.
  • Maintain equipment layout designs.
About You

Demonstrated experience in the Electrical Engineering discipline is essential.

Low voltage electrical distribution experience is necessary.

Experience in designing electrical equipment, participating in design reviews, conducting typical design analyses, and implementing electrical/electronic solutions, including integration, validation, and qualification testing.

A degree in Electrical Engineering is required, satisfying the requirements for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.

Extensive experience in engineering operations supporting systems and equipment, including configuration management methods, logistics engineering products, technical report writing, and data management.

Understanding of requirements analysis, design, verification, and other systems engineering principles is vital.

Experience working with Systems Engineering methodologies is beneficial.About Us
