Job Title

Oosh/Oshc Educators are responsible professionals who work with children aged 5-12 years.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and ensure a safe, happy environment for all children.
  • Care for and interact with children from Kindergarten to Year 6 in various activities, including setting up and packing away tasks and light cleaning duties.
  • Support students with identified needs across K-6 by collaborating with the team and senior staff.
  • Implement inclusive practices to facilitate participation, learning, and development among all children.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and centre policies.
  • Record observations and evaluations related to the 'My Time Our Place' School Age Framework.

Available Work Schedule:

  • During school term time: morning shifts range from 7-9.30am and afternoon shifts range from 2-6pm, Monday to Friday. Various hours during school holidays.
  • Must be available to work during school holidays.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Working with Children Check Clearance Number (WWCC)
  • Experience working with children aged 5-12 years, particularly those with additional needs
  • Interests and skills in craft, sports, group games, cooking, or other activities enjoyed by children
  • Effective communication skills, professional manner, leadership skills, and initiative

Diploma in Out of School Hours Care or Diploma in Children's Services is desirable.

Additional requirements include experience working with children with additional needs, current First Aid certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate, Child Protection certificate, or willingness to obtain.
