Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect participants with essential resources such as childcare, housing, financial aid, and educational support.
  • Offer guidance to participants on employment searches, resume preparation, and interview techniques, ensuring they understand their compliance requirements and obligations.
  • Develop tailored action plans that cater to the unique needs and aspirations of each participant, helping them follow through on personalized plans.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions to provide additional support and foster a sense of community among participants.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of appointments and client communication in accordance with contractual requirements.
Critical Success Factors:
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing support services, particularly with working parents, carers, or students.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with diverse participants.
  • A high level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suites and other government programs.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences of participants.
  • Familiarity with community resources and services available to parents and carers, including childcare, housing, and financial assistance.
  • Ability to interpret guidelines and work within established frameworks.
  • High motivation to achieve employment and training outcomes for participants and organizational performance goals.
  • A recent, clear National Police Check.
  • A current Working With Children Check (QLD Blue Card).
  • A Certificate IV or higher in Employment Services and/or Community Services or similar qualification (desirable).
