Job Summary

This role supports vulnerable populations by providing housing and shelter services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Support Plan Development
  • Developing trusting relationships with residents to foster a safe environment.
  • Conducting wellness checks and participating in intake procedures to ensure resident well-being.
  • Setting up shelters, distributing supplies, and assisting with activities to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Providing referrals to community resources and offering information on support services.
  • Mitigating challenging situations through de-escalation techniques to maintain a secure environment.
Requirements
  • A diploma in human or social services field.
  • A minimum of one year recent related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Training in crisis intervention techniques and harm reduction approach.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position with three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours).
  • Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night shifts from 7pm to 7am.
