About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Financial Officer to join our team at Alphacrucis College. As a key member of our Student Services department, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of student financial records, processing financial transactions, and providing exceptional customer service to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student financial records, including fee payments, refunds, and debt management.
  • Process financial transactions, including generating invoices, setting up fee templates, and reconciling student-aged debt.
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance the student experience and improve financial efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Completion of a VET or HE degree (desired).
  • Experience in an administrative or customer service role (desired).
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner.
  • An understanding of the VET and Higher Education sector.
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with an appropriate communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and written skills when communicating with others and maintaining student records.
  • Commerciality: the ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given and carry out administrative duties within the portfolio efficiently and on time.
  • Positive approach to change (essential).
  • Ability to relate to students (essential).
