This role is ideal for a compassionate and experienced individual who can lead a residential care home in Perth, creating a safe and therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs.
The House Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff rosters, and ensure the home meets high standards of care. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled professional to lead our residential care home, providing guidance and support to a team of Residential Support Workers. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the home is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, and engaging
- Building strong relationships with children and young people
- Managing care planning, transitions, and stakeholder collaboration
- Roster staff appropriately and respond to crisis situations when needed
- Facilitating team meetings and ongoing training
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing leadership and support to a team of Residential Support Workers
- Developing and implementing care plans that meet the needs of young people
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective care and support
- Managing staff rosters and responding to crisis situations
- Maintaining accurate client records and reports
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or similar qualification
- Experience supporting young people with trauma and high needs
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
