Job Summary

A Temporary IT Infrastructure Support Engineer is sought by a local council in the South East to maintain and enhance ICT systems while supporting a major project to replace existing network infrastructure with Aruba technology.

This role involves collaborating closely with the project team and third-party providers to ensure seamless functionality of the upgraded network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Infrastructure Upgrade and Maintenance
    • Manage on-site upgrades of network switches, routers, and WiFi equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise post-upgrade.
  • ICT Systems Management
    • Maintain and optimize system and network monitoring applications.
    • Provide support for hybrid, on-premise, and cloud environments, assisting with business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Project Delivery
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery within budget.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of ICT systems and processes.
    • Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with Aruba network technology and proven skills in network upgrades.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting various network and systems issues.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Local council experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 based on national averages and considering the required qualifications and experience. The exact salary will be discussed during the interview process.
