Network Technical Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Technical Specialist to join our team at Telstra. As a key member of our Global Networks & Technology - Security & Operations team, you will be responsible for providing specialized technical support in the detection, investigation, and rectification of complex faults and routines associated with Telstra's IP Network platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply excellent incident management methodologies to detect and resolve network faults in an effective and timely manner.
- Provide specialized technical expertise in the investigation and rectification of complex faults and routines.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups to enable IP Networks to achieve its business objectives.
- Mentor team members to grow their technical and leadership capabilities.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of technical and administrative IP Network process documentation.
Requirements
- Technical diploma or engineering degree level qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience with networking monitoring tools and certifications in Cisco, Juniper, F5, Radware, Check Point, and other appliance technology vendors.
- Ability to identify and develop strategies to resolve technical or process deficiencies.
- Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills combined with the ability to drive multiple incidents across all severities in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
