About the Job

The Aviation Maintenance Engineer position is based at RAAF Base Townsville in tropical North Queensland and supports the Apache Program.

This role plays a vital part in the maintenance of Boeing AH-64 Apache mechanical, airframe, and engine systems and associated equipment.

As an experienced Aviation Maintenance Professional, you will work side by side with our Australian Defence Force Customer to maintain the aircraft's integrity and ensure its safe operation.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, servicing, inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting aircraft systems, associated components, and equipment within their applicable trade qualifications, training, competency, and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) authorisation(s).

You will also interpret Instruction for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) airworthiness limitations and apply them to the assessment of defects and imperfections.

Additionally, you will supervise and mentor subordinate technicians in developing their skills and career path.
