Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the technical design, setup, and implementation of digital products and solutions for clients in Melbourne.

The chosen person will play a key role in shaping our technology proposition and be responsible for leading and supporting technology consulting projects.

You will have a track record of designing and delivering high-quality digital solutions over the last seven years or more, with a keen interest in applying technology in the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of Technical Specifications: Create architectural diagrams and technical specifications for multi-platform products
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical design and development of digital projects
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide technical expertise on appropriate solutions
  • Software Development Frameworks: Set up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality, and source control
  • Delivery: Work with product leads, consultants, designers, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions across web, mobile apps, and OTT
  • Technical Authoring: Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other development resources
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology

Requirements:

  • At least seven years' experience in software development and solution architecture
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services, with Microsoft Azure preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and directly with clients
  • Strong technical skills in software development, including hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks
  • A passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a flair for finding innovative solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment
  • Experience leading teams of developers and providing technical guidance and mentorship
  • A keen interest in sport or the sports business and real interest in the positive effects on client businesses
