Dementia Specialist Advisor

Are you looking for a challenging role that makes a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals living with dementia? This position offers the chance to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative strategies to support people with dementia.
As a Dementia Consultant, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches to implement practical and effective solutions to prevent or minimise changes in behaviour related to dementia.
This role involves working closely with families, caregivers and clinical staff to understand how dementia affects each individual and develop tailored support plans.
About You- Essential skills include expertise in supporting people with dementia, experience in Australian residential aged care and/or community aged care, high-level negotiation and communication skills, excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and empathy and patience.
- Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health are essential. Additionally, you must be able to work innovatively and build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
