About the Role

A fulfilling opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in dementia care.

  • Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to comprehend the effects of dementia on each individual.
  • Equip carers and clinicians with knowledge to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through coaching, development of resources, and modelling.
  • Synthesise information, leveraging observation and written documentation, to provide recommendations that are centred around relationships and evidence-based best practice.
  • Develop reports contextualised to individual situations and people, driving positive change and enhancing quality of life for those living with dementia.
  • Undertake various assessments to gain a deeper understanding of the person's holistic experience and their care network.
  • Collaborate with the broader dementia support community to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
  • Contribute to research, projects, and programs, working innovatively to address the evolving needs of the sector.
  • Take on other assignments as required, utilising areas of skill, expertise, and knowledge.
About You
  • Expertise in supporting individuals living with dementia.
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and/or community aged care.
  • Able to convey complex information in a relatable manner, facilitating change at all levels.
  • High-level negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Able to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
  • A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel.
  • Empathy and patience.
  • Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care, or Mental Health is essential.
