Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive support plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual.">
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to equip carers and clinicians with the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to behaviour changes.">
  • Conduct thorough assessments to synthesise information and provide recommendations that are relationship-centred and evidence-based.">
  • Produce high-quality reports that inform decision-making and improve quality of life for people living with dementia.">
  • Work in partnership with the Dementia Support Australia team to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.">
  • Contribute to research projects and programs to meet the evolving needs of the sector.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.">
  • Experience working in Australian residential aged care and/or community aged care.">
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.">
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.">
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  • Empathy and patience.">
  • Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health is essential.">
