About the Role

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Performance Reporting to join its Financial Services team. As a key member of the Group Financial Reporting & Analysis (FR&A) team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop forecasts and analysis of the internal investments portfolio for senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Analysis on the efficiency, effectiveness and yield of the investment portfolio to the Group CFO, Executive Leadership Team and project community on the internal investments portfolio.
  • Ensure that a robust due diligence process is undertaken on external equity investments.
  • Monthly investment spend reporting including key business metrics and insights for senior management.
  • Adhoc analysis of the project delivery workforce and allocation of funding with focus on optimisation.
  • Assist in the preparation of external results reporting on the investment portfolio.
  • Reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of the investment portfolio and resources.
  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Business Review memos.
  • Process improvement / automation of processes to streamline work.
  • Provide independent review of strategic equity investments and advice to the Group CFO.
  • Engage with people across various parts of the Group; stakeholder management and communication skills are paramount in this role.
  • Presenting to Finance Working Group and other senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Operational responsibilities that are required for the smooth functioning of the Investment Reporting and Analysis team, as well as pro-actively contributing to long-term value creation for the Group.
  • Be part of and contribute to a strong and vibrant team culture.
  • People manager for 2 direct reports.
Requirements
  • Excellent commercial acumen.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis and strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Transaction services / valuations experience preferable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Innovative and able to drive results.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Tableau and Alteryx skills preferable but not necessary.
  • CA/CPA/CFA qualified and Big 4 background preferred with advanced MS Excel skills.
