Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Officer to lead the day-to-day operations of our Modern Manufacturing Workshop. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with researchers, academics, students, and industry partners to enable high-precision fabrication, rapid prototyping, and custom solutions.

  • Scheduling and coordinating workshop operations, inductions, and equipment training sessions.
  • Communicating effectively with researchers, academics, and industry partners to scope and prioritise jobs based on project requirements.
  • Operating and programming CNC and multi-axis lathes, as well as manual equipment, to support prototype development and research projects.
  • Reviewing and producing CAD technical drawings to facilitate prototyping and research activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, standard operating procedures, and safe workshop practices.
