Job Description

Fantastic Furniture Australia is seeking a dynamic and proactive Area Leader to join our VIC, ACT, and NSW team. As a leading Australian furniture retailer, we're committed to creating an engaging and supportive work environment that drives our success.

About the Role

We're looking for a strategic leader with a passion for retail and a drive for excellence. As an Area Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in our retail operations, leading multiple stores across both metropolitan and regional areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving operational brilliance across our stores, ensuring top-notch customer service and maintaining high standards in merchandising and stock integrity.
  • Cultivating a high-performing team culture, hiring the right talent, coaching and mentoring, and implementing succession planning strategies to develop future leaders from within.
  • Fostering a culture of safety by proactively addressing hazards and risks, leading safety training, and ensuring our safety standards are met across all locations.
  • Supporting our business strategy by leading change initiatives, encouraging innovation, and adapting to evolving conditions with agility and flexibility.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years in multi-site retail leadership, with a proven track record of driving high performance and meeting commercial targets across multi-site business.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and EBIT targets, identify efficiencies, and implement business plans for sustainable growth. Experience working in retail space with warehouse requirements is a definite advantage.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to build rapport with teams and stakeholders alike.
  • A talent for inspiring and developing teams, creating high levels of engagement, and maintaining a focus on results and solutions.
