About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our HSEQ team on the Melbourne airport T4 project. The primary objective of this role is to coordinate and mitigate safety risks on site, ensuring compliance with SW Safety policy and systems and promoting a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor site personnel to improve workplace health and safety on individual sites.
- Conduct site inspections/audits and provide feedback, including associated recommendations to project personnel.
- Assess risks and opportunities for improving Safety Management.
- Assist Project Managers in managing workplace health and safety on project sites, providing timely and relevant advice on all safety-related matters.
- Conduct investigations of accidents and incidents, reviewing incident reports and providing advice on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
- Demonstrate a passionate and energetic approach to safety.
- Possess a can-do positive attitude, with a team-first approach, working willingly with others in a collaborative manner.
- Certificate IV qualification in OHS.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.
- Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Certification.
- Certification in First Aid (Basic).
