Council Support Specialist

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Business and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related / similar role preferably in customer services/community engagement.
The annual salary for this position is estimated to be around $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
The job description includes:
- Providing high-level professional support to internal and external stakeholders regarding councillor community engagement.
- Actioning requests from Councillors for advice and support on operational matters through the facilitation of service-related communications between Councillors and the organisation.
- Actioning requests from community organisations for small amounts of financial support through the Councillors' Discretionary Fund.
The required skills and qualifications include:
- Certificate IV in Business
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related / similar role preferably in customer services/community engagement
- Qualifications (membership and or certificate) or experience in public consultation (e.g. IAP2)
- Experience in conducting or assisting in stakeholder consultation including group facilitation
- Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building and negotiation
