Senior Culinary Leader

Join us in a senior culinary leadership role where you will oversee the smooth operation of our commercial kitchen and dining service. This is a key position that plays a significant part in enhancing the overall dining experience for our residents, as per our Inspirit model of care.

Job Description

  • Plan and prepare fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs and wants.

  • Manage all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Maintain a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with aged care quality standards.

  • Consult with residents on menu design and meal times to provide a personalized experience.

  • Prepare texture modified diets and supplements as required.

  • Ensure all meals are visually appealing and presented to high standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide food for special events.

Requirements

  • A passion for delivering high-quality care to the elderly.

  • Strong customer-centric approach and relationship building skills.

  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).

  • Demonstrated leadership experience.

  • Ability to build relationships with older people.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.

  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) preferred.

  • Competent using computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
