Job Overview
Cura Day Hospitals Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Theatre Floor Coordinator to join its team on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist services to support the peri-operative team, delivering high-standard patient care with available resources, and demonstrating knowledge of ACORN Standards, NSQHS Standards & OHS Legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing specialist services to support the peri-operative team
- Delivering high-standard patient care with available resources
- Demonstrating knowledge of ACORN Standards, NSQHS Standards & OHS Legislation
- Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and healthcare teams
- Maintaining punctuality, reliability and minimal absenteeism
- Exhibiting strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Independently making decisions and taking appropriate action
Requirements:
- Current Registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Minimum two years recent theatre experience
- Minimum of one year recent management experience
- Post-graduate certificate in Perioperative Nursing or higher
- Good understanding of Infection Control principles
- Working knowledge of relevant medical equipment and troubleshooting
- Compliance with AHPRA requirements for professional self-development
