About the role

Black Salt Dining is seeking an experienced and dedicated part-time Floor Supervisor to join our team in Kingston, ACT. As the Floor Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our restaurant floor, delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing and coordinating the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders, and hosts, to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Monitoring dining room operations, responding to customer needs, and resolving any issues that arise in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with the training and development of front-of-house staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the menu, wine list, and restaurant policies
  • Liaising with the kitchen team to ensure the timely delivery of orders and maintain a seamless flow of service
  • Handling cash management, inventory, and other administrative tasks as required
  • Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment for the entire restaurant team

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar floor supervisor or restaurant management role
  • Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for providing an outstanding dining experience
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and scheduling
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment
