Plant Operations Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in plant engineering, ensuring the safe and efficient use of heavy equipment on construction sites. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining high levels of performance and reliability across all plant operations.

About the Role:
  • You will oversee the coordination of heavy plant and equipment for piling, foundations, and bridge construction projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, servicing, compliance, and utilisation to ensure seamless plant operations.

In addition to these key responsibilities, this position also entails providing technical guidance on plant selection and safe operating procedures, as well as collaborating with subcontractors and logistics teams to optimize plant operations.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have 2–3 years' experience in plant engineering, civil, or infrastructure projects.
  • Possesses relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of heavy plant and equipment used in foundations and bridge construction.
  • Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills, organisational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Can effectively communicate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.
