The project involves constructing two separate tunnels and surface works including road and bridge construction, services buildings, and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

\Job Description:\

As a Plant Engineer, you will support all aspects of plant operations for foundations and bridge construction, ensuring safe efficient and reliable use of plant and equipment.

\

You will act as the technical interface between site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing practical solutions, coordinating logistics, and supporting project delivery to meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Plan mobilise and coordinate heavy plant and equipment for piling foundations and bridge construction\
  • Monitor utilisation performance and implement preventative maintenance programs\
  • Provide technical advice on plant selection capabilities and safe operating procedures\
  • Respond to breakdowns and support repairs modifications and upgrades\
  • Liaise with subcontractors suppliers and logistics teams to manage plant operations\
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections servicing compliance and utilisation\
  • Support lift studies equipment planning and WHS environmental and quality compliance\
  • Assist with procurement supplier engagement and forecasting plant requirements to align with construction programs\
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment\
  • Collaborate with site teams to identify opportunities for process improvement
\Requirements:\

2-3 years' site experience in plant engineering civil or infrastructure projects

\

Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

\

Strong understanding of heavy plant and equipment used in foundations and bridge construction

\

Ability to interpret engineering drawings plant specifications and maintenance schedules

\

Practical problem-solver with strong organisational skills and attention to detail

\

Confident communicator with the ability to engage and build rapport with subcontractors suppliers and site teams

\

Flexible and proactive with a willingness to work across both site and office environments

\

Strong safety-first mindset with knowledge of WHS standards and safe work practices

\

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment

\
