About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Head of Quality and Safety at Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of quality and safety management systems in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of quality and safety management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the organization's safety management system, ensuring that safety is a core requirement of our day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a register of maintenance documents and procedures manuals.
  • Approve and manage Maintenance Approvals (MA's) for Certifying Engineers.
  • Ensure the organization maintains high standards of airworthiness through consistent audits of processes, facilities, and procedures.
  • Implement a quality audit schedule with a maximum interval of twelve (12) calendar months.
  • Address all audit findings within an acceptable timeframe and initiate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Assess the effectiveness of any corrective measures implemented.
  • Communicate lessons learned from audit findings to all staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities, customers, and contractors on quality assurance-related matters.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management roles within the aviation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of CASA, EASA, and FAA regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to locate and interpret critical industry information.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing efficient Quality and Safety Management Systems.
Skills and Competencies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation and aviation safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk management, safety audits, and investigation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to safety management.

This is a full-time position based in Australia.
