Job Opportunity:

Civil Infrastructure Development Lead

The Mackay Regional Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Infrastructure Development Lead to join their team. This role will be responsible for the design, assessment, and construction of civil infrastructure projects.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the community and development industry.
  • Utilize expertise in the design, assessment, and construction of civil infrastructure.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Liaise and negotiate with external stakeholders on engineering matters.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of Council's Planning Scheme documents and policies.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication through interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, with support to become a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) through the DPE program.
