Merchandise Lead Position

The ANZ market presents a unique opportunity for a Merchandise Lead to drive growth and expansion for one of the world's most renowned outdoor brands.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for understanding local and global market consumer trends to build profitable and consumer-right assortments for the region.

This role requires a strong understanding of the Sports Performance, Running & Fashion markets as well as experience in merchandising capacity in footwear, apparel or accessories lead consumer product industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional brand principle to develop and implement key brand strategies in the market.
  • Conduct ongoing review of the marketplace in conjunction with sales, commercial and direct to consumer functions to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop relevant and consumer-centric assortments for the marketplace via channel and segmentation models.
  • Design and execute pricing architecture to accelerate brand positioning whilst maximizing commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with key wholesale customers on special projects, seasonal requirements and further product developments.
  • Play a pivotal role in the GTM touchpoints with both sales and direct to consumer.
  • In collaboration with commercial teams, drive the assortment planning process including market capacities, net sales & margin requirements.
Core Competencies:
  • Demonstrated at least 2+ years of experience in merchandising capacity in footwear, apparel or accessories lead consumer product industry.
  • Astute understanding of the Sports Performance, Running & Fashion markets.
  • Must be creative, strategic, analytical, innovative and a problem-solver.
  • Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Design skills are a plus but not essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously but take direction from multiple stakeholders.
  • Confident presenting in front of small to large internal teams.
  • Be available for domestic and international travel as required.
