We are seeking a seasoned Team Leader to lead our Investigations team.

About the Role

The Investigations Lead will oversee a small legal team responsible for investigating and resolving complaints against solicitors under Chapters 3 and 5 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW).

This role involves supervising a team of investigators, advising and assisting team members, managing resources, and reviewing team functions and responsibilities.

You will also be responsible for expeditious analysis and investigation of disclosures by and complaints against solicitors, examining evidence, drafting notices, and making recommendations.

Additional responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, active involvement in Departmental activities, and assisting with management tasks.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Legal qualifications and extensive relevant experience
  • Supervisory experience, sound knowledge of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW), and related legislation
  • Good grasp of solicitor's accounting practice, ability to plan and organise, and structure information clearly
  • Demonstrated computer skills, honesty, trustworthiness, and commitment to quality client service
